Father Lacombe Centre Dining Room Renovations

Aug 12, 2026

The Father Lacombe Care Centre was opened in 1965. For over 52 years the building has been home to many residents in need. But 52 years can take a toll, and the main dining room is in need of a major overhaul and updating.

Mealtimes are often the highlight of each day for residents of long term care facilities, meaning that both the meal itself and the dining experience can have a major impact on residents’ quality of life. Ensuring mealtimes are enjoyable for residents is part of our commitment to “person-centered care”, aiming to make services more flexible and focus on the needs of the resident.

The Father Lacombe Care Centre is planning a renovation project for our main dining room. The project aims to rejuvenate the space to better meet the needs of the residents who call rely on the space for dining, socializing, and community. The renovation project includes new lighting, flooring and color schemes to make the dining experience more accessible and enjoyable for the residents.

The dining experience is a critical part of daily life for our residents. It’s where they come together to share meals and socialize, and we want to make sure that experience is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. By renovating the dining room, we are demonstrating our commitment to providing the highest quality of life for residents.

The renovation project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, and Father Lacombe Care Centre officials are excited to unveil the new dining room to residents and their families. We believe this renovation project will make a significant difference in the lives of our residents. We’re excited to see the impact it will have and look forward to welcoming everyone to the new and improved dining room.
